Overtalent Consulting is a DISC® certified company.

The DISC® behavioral test, based on studies conducted in the 20th century by William Marston, inventor of, among other things, the lie detector, is one of the most well-known and accredited behavioral studies in the world.

According to this model, people have different ways of dealing with the outside world and give different importance to relationships and feelings compared to facts and results. It follows that what is important or convincing for some is not important or convincing for others.

Il modello studia quattro dimensioni naturali del comportamento:

  • Dominance

  • Influence

  • Steadiness

  • Compliance

Dominant

DOMINANT people give priority to RESULTS.
They love news, changes and challenges and hate details.
They look for self-affirmation, autonomy and above all they listen to themselves.
They are very direct in their communication and quick in their decisions.

Influent

INFLUENT people focus on human RELATIONSHIPS and feelings.
They seek approval, are conformist and avoid criticism.
They tend to influence or convince others, they are confident and optimistic.
They are empathetic and quick to make decisions.

Stable

STABLE people love SECURITY and STABILITY of situations and relationships.
They look for group harmony, trust and reliability in everything.
They do not like risk and change.
They are calm and thoughtful and slow in making decisions.

Compliant

COMPLIANT people want to have detailed DATA and INFORMATION.
They are reserved, diplomatic, precise and systematic and they avoid mistakes.
Ethics and rules are extremely important
They too are cautious and slow in their decision.

It is proven that 85% of people have a dominance of at least 2 styles, one of which is always prevalent.

Being aware of one’s own behavioural styles and being able to recognize the styles of our interlocutors is useful to adopt behaviours that improve relational effectiveness.

Through the DISC® test it is possible:

  • identifying the strengths and development areas of your team members

  • improving the ability to communicate and to be in harmony with customers, colleagues or collaborators

From each analysis a customizable report is processed by company role and on specific areas of expertise.

Although it is useful for everyone in the company, the test is particularly suitable for those who relate to customers (sales force and technical assistance) and for those who manage employees (top and middle management).
